Weekly Playlist 92 features new music from Gavin James, Little Green Cars, The 1975, Josh Record, Lorde, Phosphorescent, Woodkid and Suuns.

Little Green Cars – Harper Lee

This guy sounds just like Neil Young. Awesome dynamics and they’ve got some serious singing depth within the band.

Josh Record – For Your Love

Dubbed as a mix between Ben Howard and Bon Iver. EP released shortly!

Lorde – Royals

Talented 16 year old laday out of New Zealand. Big ups from Grimes and Diplo. A little Kimbra sounding.

Phosphorescent – Ride On / Right On

Chuck this on and try and sit still, dare ya. The grooviest, happiest song of this year. Loving the whole record.

Suuns – 2020

Hailing from Montreal, Suuns combine weird, clashing notes with subtle synth drops and tight percussion to form some bizarre, yet intriguing soundscapes.

The 1975 – Me

These guys go from shoegaze to punk to electro (some of their stuff sounds like Purity Ring with a male singer). So diverse and talented. All recorded out of Matthew Healy’s bedroom. Definite driving at midnight music.

Gavin James – Carolina

Young Dublin based lad who recently won the Choice Meteor Award (essentially the Irish Mercury Prize), by beating Kodaline, Villagers and The Script. Nice chilled out acoustic number for your Easter weekend.

Woodkid – Run Boy Run

Woodkid’s latest single is epic. The strings are an incredible feature of this entire record. Enjoy to this video of the latest Assassin’s Creed trailer.
