Jungle Love: Brisbane’s newest boutique festival

Words by Scenewave Australia - Published on August 7, 2014

Summer brings with it a lot of things; storms, heat, day drinking, and Christmas. However summer also means festivals! As the climate for festivals changes every season, it seems bigger isn’t always better, and that punters are searching for something different. Boutique festivals catering to specific niches in beautiful settings seem to be gaining traction, with new ones popping up more and more. My pick for this season is Jungle Love – a two day camping, arts and music festival at Lake Moogerah (about an hour’s drive from Brisbane!) on November 21st and 22nd.

Boasting a wicked line up of musical acts including Moses Gunn Collective, Dubmarine, Michelle Xen + The Neon Wild, The Bacchanales and Magenta Voyeur, this BYO festival promises an experience. Fancy dress is encouraged for the Saturday, as well as incredible lighting displays where they’ll utilise the still waters of the lake. Visual artists, entertainers, poets and other young creatives will also be coming on board to round out what is looking to be a pretty rad weekend!

Tickets go on sale August 8 (tomorrow!), and numbers are strictly capped so be sure to get in quick!
