The Kooks have released the latest track “The Saboteur” off their forthcoming album via newsletter.

The bands new sound seems to have transitioned from trademark hook-laden British pop to a heavier, psychedelic rock sound.

It’s not light and fun like their radio-friendly hits of the past, leaving me a little disappointed. That said, I’ll reserve full judgment until the album drops on September 13.
