Foals have just released the first single from their forthcoming album entitled Total Life Forever. Following up their incredible debut release, Antidotes, the Oxford five-piece have delivered big time with Spanish Sahara. It’s certainly not the all-guns-blazing Foals from their debut, however their relaxed and somewhat laid back approach evident in this new track is a welcome progression. Their new sound shows a positive evolution which is sure to cement their status amongst current fans, while recruiting new ones in the process.

The build up during the chorus is immense. Yannis calls out, “I’m the fury in your head, I’m the fury in your bed, I’m the ghost in the back of your head!”, creating an epic crescendo.

RUMOUR: We’re predicting Foals will be playing at this years Splendour in the Grass.

Total Life Forever is due out May 10. I honestly cannot wait for this album!
