Train Music For Those Annoying Commutes

Words by Scenewave Oz - Published on February 8, 2010

I’ve been catching the train to and from work for a couple of weeks now, and take it from me, getting caught short an ipod hurts.. I mean aside from peoplewatching, which can invoke a strange mixture of disgust/loss of all faith in humanity on the trainlines, you’ve only got a couple of cheesy ads to read at best.. But, if you’ve got the gear, then stick it to shuffle and tap into some of your old records. Here’s just a couple of classics accompanied by some train-wall inspired one-liners.

5) The Kaiser Chiefs – Employment

Masters of the Underground.

4) Badly Drawn Boy – About a Boy

Tony Stonem.

3) The Kooks – Inside In Inside Out

Start on the seaside and end up in the suburbs.

2) Elliott Smith – Figure 8

Moving music for the move.

1) Kanye West – Late Registration

Used to being #1 I guess.
