Initially my view toward this band was that of a skeptic. I wasn’t sure what kind of music they produced, not to mention Beth Ditto’s overtly confronting visual presence.

As time went on and countless hours were spent reading music news and reviews, I bit the bullet and decided to have a thorough listen. It was then that I came to realise ‘Music For Men’ is one of the catchiest albums of 2009.
